ADOBO CONNECTION

Let's talk about CONNECTION!! WOW! big word. . ahahah.. It was a hot Friday afternoon and I woke up hungry and craving for some fruit shake. Right after my husband changed clothes from work we headed to look for some food and refreshers. our feet held us to Gaisano Grand Mall. When my husband was looking for some screen protector for his ipad I saw this restaurant and It really caught my attention. The Name was very Filipino (Adobo Connection) Adobo if who did not know is the staple food of Filipino's its made of pork with vinger, soy sauce, garlic and other spices to complete the taste. What excite me the most is when I saw in their streamer a Kape Gulaman (Coffee Jelly) a filipino version. I have taste a lot of Coffee Jelly in different Coffee Shops and yet I haven't tried this?. It was very refreshing the taste is not so sweet even with a vanilla ice cream on top, the bitterness of the coffee just compliments the sweet taste of the Gulaman (Jelly). I must say it's one of my favorites. You can have a taste of a great Coffee Jelly for less. It is best served with Adobo Rice or with thier turon (banana wrapped in a thin film of flour just like wanton wrapper and caramelized) it look so yummy. Another additional factor that I like about the place was that when you enter the door you will see a desk of books with some Filipino books like Noli Mi Tangere, Ibong Adarna and many more. I just love how they appreciate those things. Most of  the young Filipino's now forgot about our culture so it's is really nice to see those kind of things. It was a five star for me. Kudos to who ever  conceptualized the concept of the retro . MABUHAY KA!!.. XOXO- ITSMYSTYL
