SUMMER STARTS WITH A BANG

Summer 2013 Started with a BANG!! I say that in a way because it was the first time that me and my cousins went out of town without our parents isn't that wonderful..lol..I bet that is every childs dream well not every one. Since we are already grown ups I must say it is just ok!...The day was just full of fun, laughter and FUN again.

We decided to go to the beach before Holy Week since it will be jam packed that time and I want to reflect and repent during this time which I do every year.

A scenery you will see while on the bus ride to Hagnaya Port.We departed like 4:00 am from the house to the North Bus Terminal.
From the terminal we travelled 3-4 hours bus ride to Hagnaya Port. From there you need to ride a Ferry boat that would take 45 minutes to 1 hour and you can see Bantayan Island port.

If you are on a budget and does not wan't to splurge on food. Their are stall just a few walk from the Resort that we stayed KOTA and just a few walk you will reach the market across is a gym and just a reminder don't go out the resort wearing your bikinis since there is a school outside the resort.

When you get out of the resort their are a lot of bike rentals which cost 100php you can tour the whole Island by this or you can also rent a motorbike.

KOTA beach is the best place in Bantayan as I may say the beach is away from the port which makes it more clean and peaceful that is why we preferred staying here than the famous Sta. Fe Beach Club. It also has this sand bar which make it more beatuiful. The sand is different from Boracay Station1 though but the sea is better here. just look how inviting the water is.

It was around 11:00 AM when we decided to go dip in the water we did not even bother if the sun is up so high and burning our skin. We cannot just resist the water that is so cool and inviting. Good thing we got our sunblock on the go.

After playing in the water and sand. The driver who pick us up in the port set an arrangement for a trip to Virgin Island at first we thought it would be a waste since maybe the water, sand and environment would be the same. Thanks God we went their and was safe. On Our way to the Island the boat just stopped, the skies doomed and the waves become bigger. Its like in the movies where you are in a certain area and that area is the only place being cast..Scary to death and the funny thing we where still able to pose for picture..LOL

The place was just so serene as the Virgin word itself. The water was so calm their room rate are cheaper than the one we have in Kota. you could see a lot of fish in the shore. They have entrance fee 500 for two person and a 100 each  for the excess. Its sand is similar to Boracay it was powdery white. Now I know why it was featured in one of the local tv shows here in the Philippines. It is Boracay minus the crowd. Very perfect for those who really wants to relax.

Just a few meters from the island is their marine sanctuary. It was just so amazing how life under works. Thanks to those people protecting this area.

The sun was about to set when we went off to our bangka to go back to our resort.

Bantayan Island is not known for sunset instead it has to boast its sunrise. We really woke up earlt just to be able to witness the magic of nature.

I must say that our stay their was great. Had the best time with my cousins. The resort was great but please don't expect to have amenities like in the city hotels. If you are here to go swim and not stay in your room the whole day this would be perfect. Well the aircon was working properly which is very important. They a restaurant, bar and this pool area. but beware of the attendants working especially the girls we just thought they hate Filipinos, we'll I think they see as a threat to them..lol ..like we are getting the attention of their foreigner guest like duh!!.. it's all yours baby!! don't need them no offense though!! It was so annoying!!

And they also tend to over price, just like we bouhgt an ice and it cost 10php each could you imagine. So If I where you just buy outside since they don't have corkage fees..

Look at the color of the sea at their port it is just so way clean than in the other side in City. There where fishes in the port could you imagine that? See that resort just across the port that's the famous Sta. Fe Beach Club. We opted not to stay their  since it's near the port and the sand was like boring plain.
