BORACAY (The Travel)

After the holidays the next event would be my Birthday been waiting for this since September. I have booked a ticket to Boracay Island for my 27th Birthday... Yay!!! and when the days gets nearer the excitement in me was very high. It would be my first time in the Island. I am very curious on what people are saying about this beautiful island. And the day came...

Flight 5J162 - we took an early flight around 8:00 am siince we are still gonna travel from ILOILO to Caticlan

Yes, you heard it right I took a flight to ILOILO since during the time I booked the ticket it was a piso fare promo and the only available ticket nearest to the island is ILOILO.

Funny thing about it was during the departure and boarding we almost got lost, like we step in a wrong plane..waaaah! (bound for Legaspi). Thank God we noticed it early. That's what you get of too much excitement. But that was fun though!!..hahah

A windy day in ILOILO

Our flight just took 30 minutes, isn't that fast..whew!!. IloIlo International Airport was far different here in Mactan which is merely busy. Theirs is so quiet few people, all I can say it is a quiet airport. Oh! the wind was nice by the way..LOL!!

From the airport we took a v-hire (van for hire)  going to Jaro and from Jaro to Tagbac Terminal where their are buses and v-hire going to Caticlan and . It took us like 6 hours to reach the Island. We got some stop over though that's why it took us that long.

FARE:  

V- Hire (from Airport to Jaro) = 50php/person (don't ride a taxi from the airport it would cost you 500 hundred grands)

Jeepney (from Jaro to Tagbac) = 7.50php/person (just ask a friendly traffic man to ask for direction on where are the Jeepney's located)

V-Hire (from  Tagbac to Caticlan) = 350php/person (we opted not to ride the bus since it would took us a lot more time and the van was far more cheaper.. I don't know why!!)

Bangka ( from Caticlan Jetty Port to Boracay Island) = 200php/person (that includes the terminal fee and environmental fee which you need to pay before entering the Port)

At the Bangka you re required to put on a life jacket (COOL) the sail will just took 15 minutes though!!! hahaha

Sun is almost setting I can't wait to witness Boracay's famous sunset view!!!!

And we are in Cagban Port!!..weeee!!

The room that we booked was just a few walks from the Port so it was not a hassle for us loading our things from the port to the room that was the advantage of it.

At ACtOPIA BORACAY RESORT

The resort was nice it was not crowded though it's not a beach front, but that does not matter since the beach is not just far away you'll just need to ride a tricycle or a motorbike (Just a reminder the minimun fare is 20php some drivers will ask for 100php). The room we got was just for 700php a day what a great deal right? It is a fan room. we'll who needs an AC if the place has a cool weather and you are not gonna always stay in your room!! you will not enjoy if that's the case.

We traveled light, maybe that was the key for our smooth sailing journey you are not stressed with heavy loads of bags. Just bring the necessary you should also bring lots of water since it will be dehydrating on the road some chips and biscuits too. Secure all your documents and money in an area where you can easily grab it for paying fare and document evaluation, since you don;t want to be delayed just looking for those. Oh! don't forget to bring your ipod and ipad for some music and reads to get off the boring road trip be sure to charge them before leaving home.
